Cookmarks is a recipe management service operated by its founder as a small independent business (“Cookmarks”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using cookmarks.app, you agree to these terms.
You need an account to save recipes. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use Cookmarks.
Recipes you import, write, or edit remain yours. You grant us the license needed to store, process, and display them to you (and to others, only where you explicitly share or make them public). Imported recipes may include content owned by third parties — you’re responsible for using imports in line with the source’s rights. Cookmarks stores them for your personal cooking use; URL imports attribute and link back to the original source, and text or photo imports keep whatever source information you provide.
Your data is portable. A full export of your recipes is free on every plan, and that will not change — email support@cookmarks.app and we’ll send your data (self-serve export is on the roadmap).
The free plan includes a capped number of recipes, cookbooks, and social-media imports. Pro is a paid subscription ($5/month or $40/year) that removes those caps — current details are on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled, which you can do anytime from the billing portal — you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. If you cancel with more content than the free caps allow, everything you saved stays readable and cookable; only creating beyond the caps is paused.

Don’t abuse the service: no scraping at scale, reselling access, disrupting the infrastructure, or using imports to mass-republish other people’s content. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that do.
Cookmarks is an actively developed product; features may change. We’ll give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what a paid plan includes, and pro-rated refunds if we ever discontinue the paid service. The service is provided “as is” without warranties; to the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
